With major upgrades to tourist infrastructure and new businesses flying to the city, Sydney has had a real opportunity to explore the micro-hotel market. The site at 109 Foveaux St had all the necessary ingredients to develop a first-of-its-kind from a series of micro hotels.

The site had been used primarily for commercial purposes, which has been replaced with a skinny, seven storey micro-hotel, featuring 10 optimised rooms, an internal public courtyard, and a lofty rooftop lounge to relax. The challenge of small lot size and narrow frontage was approached with modular construction technology which will provide a reduction in construction duration as well as in the environmental impact from dust, noise, and vibration.

The site is situated just 300m from central station, where the hotel will be intertwined with local fine dine restaurants, laundry, and other services throughout the city, which will help to focus on catering to guests’ convenience and comfort.
