Architecturally, the building has been designed to present a contemporary design solution to the redevelopment of the site, whilst complementing the streetscape. The proposed works have been designed to respond to the neighbouring warehouse buildings and sites along Sussex Street. The original building façade has been retained at the podium level to capture the proportion and materiality of the local heritage, ensuring a harmonious architectural effect. The pedestrian level will be covered by a new awning and will consist of new boutique retail, activating and breathing life in to this area. Above the renovated architecture, concrete spandrels reach upwards, between these blade-like features sits glass fenestration, adorned with vertical landscaping and balconies.
